MARCH 26: U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) (2nd-L), wife Cindy (2nd-R), former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (L) and husband Todd Palin (R) greet the crowd during a campaign rally for Sen. McCain at Pima County Fairgrounds on March 26, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. McCain and Palin are reuniting for the first time since their 2008 presidential bid concluded to campaign for his fifth term in the U.S. Senate.
McCain is in a close primary fight with conservative J.D. Hayworth. The latest Rasmussen poll shows McCain up by just seven points. So, McCain brought in the big guns on Friday to help out.

Video excerpts from Palin's speech are here. In it Gov. Palin takes on the phony accusations of threats and violence by Tea Partiers. The best line was "we're not the party of no, we're the party of HELL NO when it comes to those things that are not in our countries best interest."

But the real news, was in the interview McCain and Palin conducted with Greta VanSusteren on Fox News. Here's part I:

Part II is here.

McCain and Palin remind us that had they been elected we would not be enduring the sleaze, the spending and the radicalism of the Obama Administration. Note that McCain clearly rejects any bipartisanship with such radicals. He admits that he could have done a better job of warning the country of what would happen if Obama were elected.

Palin chimed in: "Why engage in bipartisanship if Democrats are doing the wrong thing." McCain adds, "I haven't changed... I can't sit down with somebody who is governing from the far left."

We only wish we would have seen more of that John McCain in the 2008 campaign!
